This is the website of Neil McDougall, a musician/blogger/podcaster/bookie from Ayrshire.

HE’S BACK~!~!~!

Good GAWD, it’s been a long time, been a long time, been a long and lonely lonely loney time since I updated this mother.

So, what’s been happening with me since the last time I updated this? Well, I’m now a successful rock musician, touring the world and recording million-selling albums.

HAH! I WISH!

Nah, nothing as big as that. I’m in my last year of college and deciding whether I want to do uni or not. I’ve also been making waves with recordings I’ve been doing over the summer, and I’ve bagged a small record deal with my friend’s record label, Fisted Records. One of my tracks, Don’t Belong, will be appearing on the label’s first compilation CD, which I’m also helping to mix and master. If I can get a band together, there’s a decent ish chance of a full length album, which I’d be producing and engineering, naturally. Providing we could find a decent way of recording drums 😛

Oh, if you want to check out my demos, have a look at My Soundclick Page.

I’m playing the college Creative Arts Dept. Christmas Party with my band, The Reverend Neil McDougall (yes, I’m an ordained minister, through Universal Ministries. Put my religion down as ‘Jedi’ :P). We’re only doing three songs at the party, but our proper gig at King Tuts will have us playing a 40-minute set, so we might have to throw caution to the wind, turn the amps up to 11 and bust out some ‘Jazz Odyssey (sp?)’.

Should be a blast tho. The Christmas Party set will hopefully be recorded onto CD, so I’m gonna try to upload it somewhere.

So, there you have it. I’m back and hopefully I’ll remember to update this SOB more often.
