Commander Shepard is str8 gangsta, yo.
(And yes, I am going to hell for this, thank you very much. As if I wasn’t already due to ‘Gangnam Wither’.)

Right, been a while since I wrote a blog, but I’ve been thinking about this topic for a while. I was thinking about shooting a video about it, but I reckon I can do a better job of getting my thoughts across in written form rather than by babbling into a webcam. Warning, this article contains spoilers for some Expanded Universe stuff. Most of the stuff I’m spoiling has been around for years, though, so fuck it.
So, friends, join me, as I prattle on for ages about what I think’s going to happen in the new Star Wars films.

I’ve splashed some cash again, this time on a wee toolkit and an Egnater Tweaker 1×12″ combo. And some fruity Pi…

Here’s the deal- thanks to the overwhelming success of my ‘Siri Answers The Ultimate Question‘ video on YouTube, and YouTube inviting me into their video monetisation programme, I have managed to squirrel away a few quid.
Subsequently, I’m quite fancying getting a 27″ iMac. The only thing that’s holding me back now is- do I buy now or wait until the forthcoming Ivy Bridge model refresh?

In the last few months, I’ve dabbled on and off with the excellent PC game Minecraft. Its world-generation system, which utilises strings of characters known as seeds to create the world in which you play, can throw up some fascinating results. Type in ‘glacier’ as your seed and you play in a gorgeous mountainous rainforest type setting. The seed ‘gargamel’ starts you off underground, and, if you’re playing on any difficulty other than Peaceful, you’ll invariably be getting your arse chewed off by zombies right from the get-go because of it. These ‘interesting’ seeds are highly sought after by the Minecraft community, and I’ve stumbled on another interesting one – ‘Deconstruction’. Yes, you have to capitalise the ‘D’. It matters, if you weren’t aware of that before.
So, I stuck ‘Deconstruction’ in as my seed (inspired by the mighty Devin Townsend’s newest album), and I discover the following…

If there’s any Mac users out there that read my blog (according to Statpress I get a few hits from Mac users…) feel free to swing over to http://www.macheist.com and snag yourselves a nanoBundle of some nifty apps, headlined by the yet-to-be-unlocked Tales of Monkey island point-n-click adventure game and the Mac-only web design software Rapidweaver.
I’m even using one of the programs from the bundle to write this post- MacJournal.
Oh yeah, the audition went reasonably well. With any luck I should know whether I’m in the band by about this time next week or earlier. Keep ‘em crossed, folks.

What kind of D&D Character I’d be….
I Am A: Chaotic Good GnomeBard Ranger
Alignment:
Chaotic Good characters are independent types with a strong belief in the value of goodness. They have little use for governments and other forces of order, and will generally do their own things, without heed to such groups.
Race:
Gnomes are also short, like dwarves, but much skinnier. They have no beards, and are very inclined towards technology, although they have been known to dabble in magic, too. They tend to be fun-loving and fond of jokes and humor. Some gnomes live underground, and some live in cities and villages. They are very tolerant of other races, and are generally well-liked, though occasionally considered frivolous.
Primary Class:
Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.
Secondary Class:
Rangers are the defenders of nature and the elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.
Deity:
Finder Wyvernspur is the Chaotic Neutral god of the cycle of life and the transformation of art, although he leans heavily towards Good. He is also known as the Nameless Bard. Followers of Finder believe that everything must change in order to grow and thrive. Their preferred weapon is the bastard sword.

A Gnome? WTF? I knew I was a short-arse, but that’s taking the biscuit.
